The release of the mixtape led to a record contract with Interscope Records, and after hearing the mixtape, rapper Eminem signed Yelawolf to his label Shady Records. Yelawolf collaborated with producer WLPWR on Trunk Muzik, which was released to much acclaim and garnered him a strong following in the hip hop community.
